Michael LeBuffe writes primarily on the moral theories of Hobbes and Spinoza.  Both in the history of philosophy and in contemporary moral theory, he is concerned with the ways in which facts about psychology and human knowledge constrain or otherwise inform theories of value. Recent work includes:
