Areas of Interest
I am interested in issues pertaining to animal ethics, philosophical psychology, and early modern philosophy. Current research projects include the moral psychology of infants in their first year, Martha Nussbaum's capabilities approach as it applies to animals, Gottfried Leibniz's views on teleology and science, and the psychology of anthropomorphism. These seemingly disparate interests will eventually form a dissertation on the role of non-humans and the moral psychology of animal evaluation. Concurrent with the Ph.D. in philosophy I am working towards a Master’s degree in psychology.
