Areas of Interest
I am interested in philosophy of psychology and cognitive science, especially how cognition works and how it interacts with emotions. I also enjoy other topics in philosophy of science.
My dissertation investigates the relationship between psychological research on happiness and well-being and philosophical conceptions of happiness. Specifically, I am interested in finding out to what extent empirical results should be taken into account by philosophers developing theories of happiness. I explore whether philosophical research is prior to empirical research, or whether there should be interaction between the two.
