Epistemology is the study of knowledge, justification, and rationality. It
is concerned with such things as the nature and structure of knowledge and
justification, the variety of ways in which knowledge and justified belief
are acquired, and skeptical challenges to the extent of our knowledge.

Ben McMyler will teach both undergraduate and graduate course in epistemology. He is particularly interested in self-knowledge and in the epistemology of testimony, and his current research focuses on the role of authority relations in thought and action.
