The Berlin Zoo

This zoo has one of the largest collections
of animals and human visitors in the world,
all packed into a large city block.

The zoo had two groups of Asian elephants.
A male/female pair (above)
and a small family group (right).

It's great to be able to watch elephants,
but we wished that they had more things to do
and more room to do them in.

This beautiful, desert-dwelling cat was stuck in a small,
tiled enclosure. We didn't think that the cactus
counted as environmental enrichment.

These mountain sheep all saw
something more interesting than us.

The orangutans were bored.

But this sloth was relatively busy.

And who can resist baby monkies?

Finally, the predictable stupid human poses.
