        What is this stuff?

The materials below have all been used in presentations by Gary Varner to various Bioethics Institutes over the last decade or so, at Iowa State, Oregon State, Michigan State, Purdue, the University of Illinois, and the University of Lisbon (Portugal).

These Institutes are designed to help life science faculty incorporate discussions of ethics in their science courses. They are largely the brain child of Gary Comstock of North Carolina State University.

The general format is sometimes referred to as "The Iowa State Model Bioethics Institute," because Comstock was director of the Bioethics Program at Iowa State while he developed them. So for information on upcoming Institutes, try visiting the Iowa State Bioethics Program home page.
