Dr. José Bermúdez has been awarded an ACLS Fellowship this year. He is now one of 78 2018 ACLS Fellows that were chosen out of 1,150 applicants. “The 2018 ACLS Fellows hail from more than 50 colleges and universities,” said Matthew Goldfeder, director of fellowship programs at ACLS. “Fellows were selected for their potential to make an original and significant contribution to knowledge, resulting from research on cultures, texts, and artifacts from antiquity to the present, in contexts around the world.” For more information, and to see Dr. Bermúdez’s ACLS profile page click here.
Dr. Bermúdez was also awarded a Summer Stipend from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The stipends are very competitive; universities may only submit 2 applicants each, and only 8% of those applicants are funded.
